The Silvermine Arts Guild is the most prestigious art center outside of New York City. It is a unique regional resource that combines a school, gallery and guild of 300 professional artists. Since 1922, the Art Guild has offered many cultural and educational programs for the community including a summer Chamber Music series, live theatrical performances, film and video events, lectures, gallery and studio tours, artist demonstrations and workshops. |

The School of Art
offers courses for beginners, advanced students and professional artists. There is a Junior Art Program for teens and a Junior Art Program for children beginning at age two.

The Gallery
presents new exhibitions monthly and hosts prestigious juried competitions.

The New Canaan Society for the Arts
is the volunteer community organization offering art exhibitions, music recitals and concerts throughout the year. They reside in a charming old stone building in Waveny Park, now called the Carriage Barn Gallery.

The Powerhouse Theater
located next to the Carriage Barn Gallery is home for the New Canaan Town Players. Children's acting classes are popular and many theatrical and musical events are presented throughout the year.
